both houses of congress practice politics
every state throws delegates into the mix
until 2021 when installing 46
state by state an orderly procession
'til Cruz and Gosar raise an objection
it's just a sham, a misdirection
to signal the start of the insurrection
We all know the reason
so what are we gonna do about the treason

Proud boys for the tiny handed malcontent
See the constitution as something to circumvent
One of 'em pooped in the halls of government
Qanon guy in horns it's like a circus tent
Because of drunk Rudy's bad legal sense
Oath keepers built gallows for Vice President Pence
Poor Mike didn't think they'd commit a capitol offense
Until the situation was present, perfect, tense
We all know the reason
so what are we gonna do about the treason

Gaetz, Gosar, Gohmert and Green – Perry, Biggs and Brooks
Stupid is as stupid does, they announced that they were crooks
For their roles in the coup they asked for pardons in advance
Do innocent people do that? No chance!

Who woulda guessed Liz Cheney was on our side
She's pretty far right but still has national pride
We heard how Lady Ruby was terrorized
And how a tantrum led to throwing ketchup and fries
But the thing that really worries us most
Is not the orange visions grandiose
Or how half the nation seems semi-comotose
It's that the wife of a supreme court justice is so engrossed
We all know the reason
so what are we gonna do about the treason
